Modifying Node Group Properties

This guide explains how to edit existing node groups within the UI, including modifying their properties and adding or removing nodes.

Step 1: Access the Node Group Management Interface

  1. Log in to the MMI UI.
  2. Navigate to the Node Group Management menu item.

Step 2: Select the Node Group to Edit

  1. Locate the node group you want to modify in the list of existing node groups.
  2. Click on the "Edit" button associated with the selected node group. This will open the "Edit Node Group" dialog.

Step 3: Modify Node Group Properties

The "Edit Node Group" dialog allows you to change the following properties:

  • None: In this release of the product is it not possible to modify the name or department.

Step 4: Add or Remove Nodes

The "Edit Node Group" dialog also allows you to manage the nodes that belong to the node group.

  1. Select Nodes: A list of available nodes in the cluster will be displayed, along with their status, GPU model (if applicable), GPU memory capacity, and the number of GPUs.
  2. Add Nodes: Check the box next to a node's name to add it to the node group.
  3. Remove Nodes: Uncheck the box next to a node's name to remove it from the node group.

Step 5: Apply the Changes

  1. Review your changes.
  2. Click the "Update" button to save the modifications to the node group. The node group properties will be updated, and the selected nodes will be added to or removed from the group accordingly.

Verification

After applying the changes, verify that:

  1. The node group properties are correctly updated in the MMI UI.
  2. The correct nodes are now members of the node group.
  3. Workloads are being scheduled correctly to the modified node group.
