Departments¶
In this section, you'll learn about Departments. If you need more detailed instructions, refer to the full Creating Departments and Deleting Departments sections in the official documentation.
Prerequisites¶
- You are logged into the MemVerge AI platform as a Platform Admin user
1. Create Departments¶

Open the Departments Dashboard
- Click Departments in the left navigation bar.

Create Each Department
- Click + Create Department.
- Name the department, e.g.,
engineering
- Click Create.
- Repeat this step to create as many departments as you want to create. Here is a list of department names you can use, or use your own:
- engineering
- qa
- sales
- marketing
- finance
- hr
- security
- it
- research-development
- customer support
- internal-support
- legal-business-development
- go-to-market
- product-management
- project-management

Confirm the Departments were Created
- You should see multiple entries in the Departments list, each with the name you provided.

2. Delete Departments¶

Locate the Departments
- In the same Departments dashboard, find a few departments you no longer need.

Delete a Department
- In the actions column on the right, click the X (delete) icon for each department you wish to remove.

Confirm Deletion
- In the Delete Department confirmation window, verify the department name and click Delete.

Verify Removal
- Verify the department is no longer listed.

Delete more Departments (Optional
- Repeat Steps 2.1 - 2.3 to remove a few more departments.
