Deleting a Storage Volume

If you no longer need a volume, you can safely remove it to reclaim the underlying storage resources. Before deleting, ensure that no active workloads rely on this volume.

Note: Deletions are typically irreversible. Double-check that you are no longer using or storing critical data on the volume before proceeding.

  1. Log In
    • Sign in to the GPU Cluster Manager with administrator credentials.
  2. Open “Storage”
    • In the left navigation bar, select the Storage Icon Storage Icon .
    • The Volumes tab displays a table of existing volumes, if any. Storage Volume Dashboard
  3. Locate the Volume

    • In the list of volumes, find the one you want to remove.
  4. Click the Trashcan Icon

    • In the Actions column, click the Trashcan Icon (delete) icon.
    • A Delete Storage confirmation dialog will appear, displaying the volume’s name.

  5. Confirm Deletion

    • Ensure that the volume name in the dialog matches the volume you intend to delete.
    • Click Delete to permanently remove the volume.
    • If you change your mind, select Cancel to keep the volume.
  6. Verify Removal

    • Once deleted, the volume will no longer appear in the Volumes dashboard.
    • Any workloads that previously used this volume will need an alternative storage solution.
