Creating Departments

Departments help you logically organize and manage Node Groups, Projects, and other resources under different team or business unit structures. Follow the steps below to create a new Department in the MemVerge AI platform.

  1. Access the Departments Dashboard

    • In the left navigation bar, locate and click Departments.
    • You will see a table listing existing departments with columns for Name, Projects, NodeGroups, and Created At.

  2. Open the “Create Department” Dialog

    • Click + Create Department in the upper-right corner of the Departments page.
    • A modal window labeled Create Department will appear.

  3. Enter a Department Name

    • In the Department Name field, type the desired name for your new Department (e.g., Engineering or Corporate).
  4. Confirm and Create

    • Click Create to add the Department to the system.
    • If you change your mind, click Cancel to close the modal without creating a Department.
  5. Verify Your New Department

    • The newly created Department appears in the table, including the Name, the number of Projects and NodeGroups associated with it (currently zero if it’s brand-new), and the Created At timestamp.

Tip: Once a Department is created, you can associate Node Groups or Projects with it, helping maintain clear ownership and organization across your AI workloads.
