Deleting a Storage Volume¶
If you no longer need a volume, you can safely remove it to reclaim the underlying storage resources. Before deleting, ensure that no active workloads rely on this volume.
-
Open the Volumes Dashboard
- From the left navigation menu, select Storage, then click Volumes.
-
Locate the Volume
- In the list of volumes, find the one you want to remove.
-
Click the “X” Icon
- In the Actions column, click the X (delete) icon.
- A Delete Storage confirmation dialog will appear, displaying the volume’s name.
-
Confirm Deletion
- Ensure that the volume name in the dialog matches the volume you intend to delete.
- Click Delete to permanently remove the volume.
- If you change your mind, select Cancel to keep the volume.
-
Verify Removal
- Once deleted, the volume will no longer appear in the Volumes dashboard.
- Any workloads that previously used this volume will need an alternative storage solution.
Note: Deletions are typically irreversible. Double-check that you are no longer using or storing critical data on the volume before proceeding.
