    MemVerge Memory Machine uses several YAML-formatted configuration files, installed in the /etc/memverge directory. Two of these, mvmallocd.yml and mvmalloc.yml contain user-configurable parameters.
Using the Memory Machine Management Center
Memory Machine Management Center (M3C) is a web UI application available on the host that is running the Memory Machine Management Service. You can view system resources and performance metrics; create and restore snapshots; schedule jobs; and more in M3C.
Using the Command Line Interface
You can administer and use MemVerge Memory Machine using the Command Line Interface (CLI) on any installed host.
Working with Applications
MemVerge provides additional instructions for some popular applications supported by Memory Machine, either to assist with complex setup or to support additional functionality.

Getting Started with Memory Machine

You run Memory Machine on a host equipped with one or more PMem devices.

To install and configure Memory Machine, you:

Verify that the host meets system requirements. See Hardware Recommendations and Software Recommendations.
Install the software. See the Memory Machine Installation Guide.
Ensure that the Memory Machine control services are running:
- The Memory Machine Management Service (Management Service), mmctl
- The Memory Machine Agent, mmagent

Start the Memory Machine data services:
- MemVerge Memory Allocation Service (MVMAS), mvmallocd
- The Memory Machine Services Daemon, mvsvcd
- ZeroIO Snapshot service, mvsnapd
Ensure that the LD_PRELOAD and MVMALLOC_CONFIG environment variables are set when you run your applications. See Preparing to Run an Application and Running an Application in Memory Machine.
