Logging In

Log in to the Memory Machine Dashboard to view memory usage and to manage MemVerge Memory Machine in an easy-to-use graphical environment.

Before you begin

Install management services on a host, either standalone or concurrent with data services. See Installing MemVerge Memory Machine for installation instructions. Ensure that data services are running on at least one PMEM-equipped host. See Running Memory Machine Services.

About this task

You can manage application instances, capture and delete snapshots, and view application and resource statistics on a host using the web UI.

Important: The first time you attempt to log in, you are asked to configure authentication. See Setting Login Security.

To log in to Memory Machine Dashboard:

Procedure

  1. Open Memory Machine Dashboard in your browser.
    https://ip_address:port
    Where
    ip_address
is the IP address of the server.
    port
is the port configured for the server. MemVerge recommends leaving the port set to the default, 8081. If you must you can change the server port by editing the httpsPort parameter in /etc/memverge/mmctl.yml.
Note: Only HTTPS is available. The unencrypted HTTP protocol is not supported. If the server has a firewall, make sure that incoming access is granted to the port on which web access to Memory Machine Dashboard is configured.
  2. On the Login page, enter your username in the Username field.
  3. Enter your password in the Password field.
  4. Click Log in.
