The Applications Console

The Applications Console shows memory use for every application and instance on the host. Use it to view and manage instances and snapshots.

The Applications Console shows the labeled parts of the Applications Console in the Memory Machine application.

The Applications Console contains the following elements:

MemVerge Application Name
The MemVerge logo and the Memory Machine version number.
Global Search Icon
Click to search all hosts for application, instance, and snapshot names.
Jobs Dropdown
Click to view scheduled jobs. See Viewing Jobs.
User Dropdown
Click to open the OpenAPI v3 specification or to log off with the current user.
Console Selector
Click to choose one of: Global Dashboard, Host Overview Console, Applications Console, Alerts Console, Jobs Console, Usage Report Console, or Settings Console.
Host Selector Dropdown
Click to select a host.
Application Tabs
Select an application from the row of tabs.
Instance Table
Lists all instances of the selected application.
Import Snapshot Icon
Click to import and run a snapshot.
Instance Table Entry

The name and status of a single instance. The status can be:

  • Running (green icon) – The instance has a process currently running on the server.
  • Stopped (grey icon) – The instance has one or more snapshots but no current running process.
Each table describes one instance and includes its PID, managed memory and CPU usage, run time to date, the owning username, and the command string.
Take a Snapshot
Click to create a snapshot of the running process.
Instance Actions Dropdown
Click to choose any available action on the instance: take a snapshot of the running instance, schedule a snapshot, or stop the instance process.
Instance Details Button
Click to see details of the selected instance, including a graphical tree or list of snapshots. See Instance Detail Console.
