Scheduling Snapshots

Schedule snapshots, either one-time or recurring, from the Applications Console.

Procedure

  1. In the Applications Console, select an instance from the Instance Table.
  2. In the All Actions Dropdown, click Schedule.
  3. In the Schedule Snapshot Dialog, toggle the Scheduling Toggle to enable scheduling.
  4. In the Snapshot Name Text Field, type a name for the snapshot.
  5. Choose the One Time or the Recurring Radio Button.
  6. Choose the date and time in the Starts: Date/Time Fields.
  7. If this is a recurring snapshot, also do the following:
    1. Optional: If this is a recurring job, choose a date and time in the Ends: Date/Time Fields. If you do not specify an end date, the job will recur as long as the process runs.
    2. Optional: Choose a recurrence interval and unit (minutes, hours, days or weeks) from the Every: Interval Field.
    3. Enter the number of snapshots to retain in the Retention Policy Numeric Field. The oldest snapshots are deleted when this retention maximum is reached. The default value is 256.
  8. Click OK.
