The Alerts Console
The Alerts Console lists alerts for events such as reaching memory capacity and service outages for every host running on the Memory Machine.
The Alerts Console shows the labeled parts of the Alerts Console in the Memory Machine Management Center.
The Alerts Console contains the following elements:
- MemVerge Application Name
- The UI application logo and name (Memory Machine Management Center).
- Global Search Icon
- Click to search for host group, host, application instance, snapshot, and cluster snapshot names.
- Jobs Dropdown
- Click to view scheduled jobs. See Viewing Jobs.
- Help Dropdown
- Click to open the Help Center, the Open API Reference, or the Memory Machine Information Pop-Up.
- User Dropdown
- Click to log the current user off the Memory Machine Management Center.
- Console Selector
- Click to choose one of: Global Dashboard, Hosts Console, Applications Console, Alerts Console, Jobs Console, Usage Report Console, or Settings Console.
- Page Title
- This is the Alerts Console page.
- Time Scale Dropdown
- Click to choose one of the predefined time ranges from the past 24 hours to the past 3 months. Choose All to show all alerts. Choose Custom Range to specify a date range using the Date Range Selector.
- Date Range Selector
- Click to choose the start and end date of a date range.
- Alert Severity Toggles
- Click the Warning, Important or Critical icon to toggle display of the severity on or off. The Alerts List does not display alerts of any of the severity levels that are turned off (the icon is greyed out).
- Show Unresolved Toggle
- Click to toggle display of resolved alerts. If the toggle is off (grey), then resolved alerts are included in the Alerts List. With the toggle on, resolved alerts are hidden.
- Alerts List
- A scrolling list that displays every alert logged by Memory Machine (filtered by date, severity and resolution as described above).
- Alert Severity
- The severity of the alerted event. Severity is configurable for each alert. See The Alert Settings Console.
- Alert Description
- Describes the alerted event. Alert descriptions are not configurable.
- Alert Host
- Click to filter the alert list by the host.
- Alert Time
- When the alerted event occurred.
- Alert Resolution Time
- When the alert was resolved. An alert is resolved when the alerted condition no longer applies. For example, a memory limit alert is resolved when memory is freed and usage drops below the alert threshold.
