Automatic DRAM Tier Sizing

Memory Machine can automatically reallocate DRAM tier while an application is running.

Parameters in the Memory Machine application file control how much DRAM tier memory is allocated to an application instance.

Automatic DRAM tier sizing can be turned on or off. If automatic DRAM tier sizing is on, parameters control the minimum, maximum DRAM tier size and the percentage adjustment of DRAM requried to accommodate all "hot" (frequently or recently used) memory. Another parameter determines how frequently this adjustment calculation is performed.

If automatic DRAM tier sizing is off, Memory Machine allocates the tier size up to a limit specified in a separate parameter.
