DRAM Tier Management Policy

Memory Machine moves data from PMem to a DRAM tier to improve memory performance. The DRAM tier is managed using a Least Recently Used (LRU) policy.

In LRU the “hottest,” most recently used memory is prioritized and retained while “colder,” less often used memory is deprioritized. Depending on load, cold memory can be removed or “evicted” from the cache. Memory not in the DRAM cache is stored in the local PMem.
