Viewing Application and Instance Memory Usage

Use the Memory Machine Memory Consumption Treemap to view memory usage at the application and instance levels.

Procedure

  1. From the Application Tabs on the Applications Console, choose the application for which you want to view memory usage. See The Applications Console.
  2. In the Instance Table, click the Expand Icon to view the following information about the instance:
    Process ID (PID)
The instance's process ID. If no name was assigned to the instance on startup, the PID is also the instance name.
    Memory Used
Both DRAM and PMEM usage are shown. Memory used includes memory consumed by snapshots of the instance.
    CPU Utilization
If the instance is running, the current CPU use as a percentage.
    Start Time
When the instance process was started.
    Run Time
How long the instance has been running since its start or last restore.
    User
The owner of the instance process.
    Command
The command used to start the process.
  3. Repeat these two steps for any other application instances you want to view.
